Green beans from Kenya are arguably the best in the world. They have a beautiful green color, long green stems with firm texture. They’re nice and crisp, with a good bite. Earthy in taste, it has hints of sweetness.

A truly versatile vegetable, green beans can be used in soups, stews, and other cooked dishes. You can stir-fry them, roast them, sauté them with garlic, or steam them and toss in butter. AN OLD BEAN

The green bean is as old (if not older) as many civilizations. It originated in Central and South America, with evidence that it has been cultivated for thousands of years found in Mexico and Peru. They were grown by the Native Americans, who would plant them with corn.

In 1482, Christopher Columbus introduced green beans to the Mediterranean region, and by the 17th century, it was being cultivated around Greece, Italy, and Turkey. It is now one of the world’s most important crops.
